After a great week in Clearwater Beach we said goodbye to Papa & Nana and headed northwest for Panama City Beach. On the way there we stopped at Florida State to see the stadium and campus.
We are so thankful for this time as a family on the Gulf of Mexico! It was so simple and relaxing. We did a lot of reading and playing and enjoying each other. So very thankful!
One day we all headed to Gulf World which was a lot of fun! Spencer got drenched from the dolphin show!

While in Panama City Beach we took a day trip to Pensacola so I could show my family my old stomping ground. My family and I lived there for 3 years (7th, 8th & 9th grade for me). I hadn't been there for over 20 years! It was crazy to go back and see our house and church and schools. There was a Mardi Gras parade at the beach so we didn't linger there for fear of not being able to get across the bridge to see Pensacola. But it was pretty entertaining to drive around the beach and get a picture of Mardi Gras celebrations (a new thing for my family!).
While in Pensacola we also visited the National Naval Aviation Museum. It was really special being there and reflecting on my Dad's service in the Navy. This is where dad had his change of command ceremony which was a big day! We enjoyed looking at all the planes and helicopters!
This sculpture got me! Wow, the life of a military family! And this is the makeup of my family growing up, 2 girls and a boy….and a rockstar of a mom! So thankful for our day trip to Pensacola!
We had a great time as a family in Florida! Great memories made!
