My Grandpa (aka GG, my mom's dad) used to always say, "We should have been Mennonites!" He appropriately said this every time we had to say goodbye to one another. He was implying that we should all just live together so we would never have to say goodbye. Well, this summer GG would have been proud! Some planned and some spontaneous, we spent a lot of time at the lake cottage! The lake house was pretty much our home base as we flew in and out of Raleigh-Durham for our other trips. Mom and Dad were SO helpful in watching the kids for us (the ones we didn't take on the particular trip)! We are SO thankful for them! For this post I just compiled some (OK so it's a LOT) of my favorite pictures from our time at the lake this summer. Sweet memories were made there! What a blessing my family and this place is to me! I loved special time with my parents, my sister and her family, and my brother!
