First Family Camping Trip

We headed to the Abercrombie's camping spot for a an overnight camping trip. Jeremy and Carson had been to this spot camping a couple times and Jeremy really wanted the whole family to go.

The last time I went camping with Jeremy was before we had any kids and it poured down rain and was NOT a great experience. So we worked hard to redeem that now as a family of 6!

Although I'm not a huge camping fan it was fun to be away from electronics and in nature as a family! The kids had a blast and that was fun to watch!

The kids enjoyed fishing and sitting around the fire.

And Bryn and I tackled setting up the tent while Jeremy and Carson were still on their fishing hike up the river.

For next time we need better air mattresses! I'm hopeful this is something we can enjoy again as a family.  But I have to say, I'm glad tonight I'm headed to my bed and not a deflated air mattresses in a tent;)

Lately...

I've been on a bad blogging streak lately. I need to play catch up! Here we go….

I loved seeing this sweet friend for a lunch date while she was home from Austria! Always such an encouragement getting time with her! Praying for you Alecia as you dive back into a new school year in Vienna!

We headed to Six Flags over Georgia together as a family for the Read to Succeed program again this year. It was so HOT but a fun day together.

We headed to Nashville for the SEND North America conference and celebrated Lydia's 7th birthday while there.  We went to see "Inside Out" and then out to eat to celebrate our Lydia!

We visited the Raccoon Mountain Caverns near Chattanooga on our way home.
We enjoyed time with Stephen and Darci Watson at Josh and Stefanie's wedding.

The kids have enjoyed taking their fishing poles down to the pond. Pretty cute if you ask me.

We really enjoyed serving at Freshmen move-in as a family and then eating at the cafeteria on campus (sure highlight for the kids). We are excited about a new year and are so excited about the students being back in town!

Carson's catch at the pond!

We are SO glad the Gainors are here! We had them, the Reeves, and the Finleys over for lunch last Sunday. So thankful for these families!

And today I was blessed to get time with my sweet friend Brandy and her kids! So so thankful for our time! We went on a nearby hike and had fun connecting. She is so dear to me!
