Chasteen Vacation in Cape Cod - Day 3

Tuesday was the first warm day so we all hit the beach!  It was a beautiful day and the kids had a lot of fun playing together.  We also had another beach day later in the week but I didn't bring my camera.  So here's a few pictures of our beach fun.

Jeremy and I took our girls for a quick little outing before dinner to this long boardwalk over the marsh.  It was really pretty and peaceful.

Chasteen Vacation in Cape Cod - Days 1 & 2

After touring more of NYC on Saturday morning we hit the road for Cape Cod for a vacation week with Jeremy's side of the family.  We had a great week exploring the Cape and one day in Martha's Vineyard.  I took so many pictures so I have to break it up into a few blog posts.  So here are days 1 & 2.
We stayed in West Yarmouth.  We decided to go explore the area of Hyannis the first day.  They were having an arts & crafts festival in town so that was fun to walk through.
We also walked around the harbor area which was fun.  Lydia loved flirting with hanging out with her cousin Kaleb!
We had packed a picnic lunch so we headed to the JFK memorial park to eat.  It was beautiful!

The family minus Kevin, Allyson & Kelsey (they flew in later that night)

Day 2 we had a slow morning, it was a little cool outside so the beach wasn't too appealing.  We decided to go tour the Cape Cod Potato Chip Factory.

After that we decided to meander off of route 6A.  We stopped at pretty spots and different landmarks.  It was fun to explore the different little towns and learn more about the area.

We stopped for lunch at this yummy local seafood spot called Captain Frosty's Fish & Chips.  It was really yummy!
 I got the crab roll!

After lunch we continued to meander and stopped at the Scargo Hill Observation Tower.  It was a beautiful lookout spot.

We then stopped in the Brewster Store.
We then headed for the Nauset Light in the Eastham area (this is the lighthouse on the Cape Cod chips bag)

Then we went to see the ocean next to Nauset Light.  Check out this sign!  Swimming with great whites anyone?

When the lifeguards are in sweats it's probably not a good beach day!

Then we headed towards Chatham and stopped at the Chatham pier.

We loved watching the seals from the pier!  If you look closely at the picture below you can see them.  They are the black things in the water.

I love the Cape Cod houses and landscaping!  So beautiful!

Then we headed to the Chatham lighthouse area.  So pretty!

And walked around the town of Chatham.  So cute!
