Home Stretch

I am 36 weeks pregnant today! It's kind of funny to think of this being the "home stretch" considering I'm quite "home" bound these days (no complaints) and officially waddling! Also I feel as though I can't possibly "stretch" any more! Funny how you forget each time how huge you get! I'm so thankful to have made it this far all the while so ready for it to be over! I'm officially into the 9th month and am ready in every way to be holding our bundle of joy! God continues to use this pregnancy to cause me to rely on Him. I found out last Friday at my appointment that little man is breech as of now. I thought for sure we were ready to go after my last ultrasound a few weeks ago showing he was head down. I go back on Thursday and they will check his position again and we'll go from there. There is still a good possibility he could turn on his own but if not we are talking about trying a version to turn him. Please pray that he would flip! I would love to avoid a c-section or any complications but am trusting the Lord who has more than proven Himself faithful!

Snow

We woke up to about 8 inches of snow on Monday morning. It was beautiful to wake up and see everything covered in white! We had fun tromping through the snow after breakfast (not as much fun getting bundled up....makes me SO glad we don't have to dress like that all winter!). Here are some pictures and video of our fun in the snow.

Guess Who

I showed this picture to Bryn a few days ago and asked her who was in this picture. She held the picture and studied it for a few seconds and then said, "Uncle Michael (my brother), Bryn and Lydia." Pretty good guess I'd say! Actually this is my dad, my sister, and me back in May of 1980. Dad had just returned from a tour of duty with the Navy and I was a little nervous about this guy that had been away for awhile. It was a few days after this that he began calling me Peanut. It's kind of scary how much this picture does look like Bryn & Lydia. Where does the time go?

2010 Year in Review

2010 has proven to be a year I won't forget anytime soon. I would say it's been an emotional year with finding out we were expecting #4, then losing that precious baby, learning we were expecting again, going on bedrest, and still ending the year awaiting baby #4. Yet it's also been a year of seeing God's faithful provision and care to our family. There have been many highs and lows and in that great opportunities to trust God and praise the name of Jesus. I'm so thankful that God is the same yesterday, today, and forevermore!

Post Christmas Family Time

We had a great week at the lake with my family. We celebrated Bryn's birthday, exchanged Christmas gifts, and brought in the New Year together. It's hard to believe the next time I see my family I'll have another baby! Can't wait!

Dad worked hard at mounting Jeremy's first deer antlers onto a plaque for him. This was a very special gift.

and he got 2 more deers while we were there this time...

Happy Birthday Bryn!

We headed up to the lake to see my family on Monday the 27th of December and celebrated Bryn's 4th birthday together on the 28th. It's hard to believe our little girl is 4! She is such a joy and delight to our family. Here are some of my favorite things about Bryn at age 4...

  • I love that she is a verbal processor
  • I love how she is so affectionate and really expresses herself
  • I love her independence and easy-going nature
  • I love her zeal for life
  • I love her toughness
  • I love watching her color and the focus and attention she gives to her "projects"
  • I love her excitement even over the little things
  • I love how she makes up random songs and sings with passion

After her birthday festivities the kids all did a "show" for us in the basement.
