Happy Birthday Grammy!!!!!
Today is my mom's birthday and we are so blessed to have her here with us to celebrate her special day! Jeremy and Carson ran some errands this morning and got her a cake that we enjoyed after lunch. Mom and I are planning on celebrating over dinner tonight. My mom is such a blessing to all of us. I just can't imagine life without her....I wouldn't know life without her! She is a wonderful mom, wife, daughter, sister, grandmother, friend....and so much more to so many people! She has many fans! How blessed we are to have you mom! Happy Birthday Mom!
Poor little bunny...
The other day Carson came in from the garage and said, "Mom, you gotta come see this!" and so out I went to the garage to find this....a little bunny inside one of his trucks in the garage. We believe our cat, Tiger, had a little "fun" with this poor little bunny and somehow the bunny ended up in the drivers seat of this Ford truck half alive. We carried the truck to the woods and dumped him out and he didn't make it far after taking his last breath. Pretty interesting. Oh, the adventures!

Grammy to the Rescue!
We are soooooo thankful to my wonderful mom who came running when she knew I was sick and couldn't take care of my family. She got here Tuesday afternoon and has been a huge blessing to us. Carson and Bryn love having Grammy here (especially since I've been such a bore lately). Grammy even cleaned the refrigerator yesterday!!!! I'm so thankful that she is retired and able (and willing!) to come to our aid in a time like this. I'm still fighting the sinus infection but hopefully everyday will get better. I have needed her help! I'm thankful beyond words! I love you mom!

A day outside
Saturday was a beautiful Spring day and we spent most of it outside as a family. The only thing that would have made it better would have been if I felt better. I'm still fighting this illness and am pretty sure it's turned into a sinus infection. I'm going to head to the doctor Monday morning and hopefully get some antibiotics. In the midst of a terrible sinus headache and stuffy nose I enjoyed this time with my family.

Oh to have a girl
We did a little experimenting with Bryn's hair the other day. I have a lot to learn about doing hair on little girls. She seemed to like the crazy do by mommy though:)

A "weekend to remember"
This past weekend Jeremy and I were so excited to spend the weekend in Peachtree City, GA for the Family Life marriage conference called "A Weekend to Remember." My parents came down from Virginia to watch the kids so we could go. The weekend started off great as we left on Friday and spent some time at the outlets in Commerce. On the way down I was coughing a little but by Friday night my chest had become extremely congested and tight. I woke up Saturday morning in rough shape. I forced myself to eat some breakfast and then got back in bed while Jeremy went to get me some medicine and then went to one of the sessions without me. The symptoms only seemed to get worse but we tried to still make it to all the sessions and our date that night. It finally became a little humorous that we were at the "weekend to remember" conference and we were certainly having a weekend to remember....just not the type of weekend we were hoping to have. It was challenging to work on marriage when I felt like I was on my death bed! So we got back Sunday and mom was sick as well so she and I had a double date to the Clemson Health Center where we waited for over 3 hours to see the doctor but we both came out with prescriptions! So, the weekend didn't exactly turn out as hoped for but we are still thankful for the time together and the good content that encouraged us to continue to work on our marriage. We are also thankful for the special time that Carson and Bryn had with their Grampa and Grammy. I'm so reminded in all this that the Enemy would like nothing more than for us to not work on our marriage. "Be of sober spirit, be on the alert. Your adversary, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. But resist him, firm in your faith, knowing that the same experiences of suffering are being accomplished by your brethren who are in the world." (1 Peter 5:8-9) I love how Gary Thomas speaks about marriage in his book Sacred Marriage which is a book about marriage being a spiritual discipline designed to help you know God better, trust him more fully, and love him more dearly. He says this, "The key to the discipline of fellowship is understanding this fundamental reality: All of us face struggles, and each one of us is currently facing a struggle that we're having less than one hundred percent success overcoming. If we're married, the fact is we're also married to someone who is failing in some way. We can respond to this "bitter juice" by becoming bitter people, or we can use it as a spiritual discipline and transform its exercise into the honey of a holy life. In this fallen world, struggles, sin, and unfaithfulness are a given. The only question is whether our response to these struggles, sin, and unfaithfulness will draw us closer to God - or whether it will estrange us from ourselves, our Creator, and each other."
So my hope, in the midst of a challenging weekend and day with much struggle, is that I would use this as an opportunity to become more holy by drawing closer to God!

Minivan!
We took the plunge into the minivan world! We traded in the ol' faithful Trooper for a minivan. Expecting baby #3 has forced us to move up to the minivan because we wouldn't be able to fit 3 carseats in the back of the Trooper. We are excited and so thankful for this new van and we look forward to many memories in it as a family.
The trooper at the dealership before getting the van...bye bye Trooper:)

It's a...
GIRL!!!!
That's right, we found out today that we are having another girl! We are blessed beyond words and we rejoice in this gift from our great God! She looks healthy and is measuring right on track for an end of July due date.
From the first day we told Carson about this pregnancy he said it was going to be a girl and that he wanted another sister. He has not wavered at all in this and he was right! He must love having a little sister:) We are so thankful too that Bryn will get to experience the joy of having a sister so close in age (they will be 19 months apart).
Seeing the baby on the computer screen made it more real that God is knitting together this new life in my womb. I love her so much already! She looked beautiful! I'll try to get the ultrasound pictures scanned so I can share those as well at a later time. Enjoy the video and pictures from today. Jeremy had the job of watching the kids and getting some footage....tough job:)
We went to lunch together after the ultrasound to celebrate and make some calls to family!

Signs of Spring
We could not resist getting outside and enjoying this beautiful day! I am so ready for Spring weather to get outside and play everyday. Here are just few "spring-like" things we did today.
This is typical Tiger and Bryn interaction...
