Coloring
Bryn wanted to be right there in the action so we let her sit up at the table and attempt coloring and you'll see the result of that. OH, and if you notice her black eye she feel on the trash can a couple days ago.

Dance!
We have noticed that Bryn has some good rhythm and loves dancing when she hears music. We got a little footage tonight before bedtime....with some Annie music to help us in the background.

Efforts at organizing...
Last week at MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) we talked about organization and I was inspired to organize around the house....something that does not come very "naturally" for me:) So I decided to start with our pantry, which has to be the smallest pantry ever. We added the pantry to the house plan when we built but didn't specify the size, just the location (big mistake) so as they framed, and then put in the dry wall, and then the molding, and then the door, it just kept getting smaller and smaller. So, it's been tricky to keep our pantry user-friendly. I'm not completely done because I want to buy more containers for my boxed items but here is my start! I got on such a roll organizing that I did the pantry in the laundry room and then went through the kids' toys and put some of their smaller toys in bins to help keep them more organized! It's a start!!!!!
Here's hoping I don't lose motivation. I still want to organize all our closets around the house!
My pantry before...chaos!
All emptied out
All the pantry items on the table
the improved pantry (work in progress)
Here's hoping I don't lose motivation. I still want to organize all our closets around the house!

We made it to Virginia!
After a long day of traveling the kids and I made it safely to Grandpa and Grammy's house on Thursday. We met mom and dad at the lake (where they are building the new lake cottage) and took a break and then Mom got into the car with us for the last leg of the trip. It was fun seeing the progress on the lake house; we are all so excited about it getting done.
Yesterday mom and I took Carson and Bryn to the Virginia Living Museum and we had a great time. The kids really enjoyed it. It was a fun date with Grammy!

The Fire Station
Yesterday we went to the Clemson fire station and the kids got to learn about the fire trucks and ambulances and climb in them. The firemen and women were really friendly. Here are some pictures from our time there.

"Help" in the kitchen
The other day after going to the grocery store that morning I got a little (overly) ambitious and started making several meals at once so that I could freeze some for later. I started while the kids were napping but of course before I could finish it all up I had both kids on the counter and I was talking on the phone; serious mulit-tasking! It was fun for the kids to feel like they were "helping." We are making meatloaf in this picture and Carson is breaking up the bread in the bowl. What a good helper:)

Pump It Up
Yesterday we met Allyson (Jeremy's older sister) and her youngest (Kolson) at "Pump it Up" in Greenville. We had a great time hanging out and the kids had a blast playing! What a great idea to have a place like this, especially for rainy days like yesterday. Thanks for our fun play date Allyson! Let's do it again soon.
