Mother's Day Hike

I'm so thankful for the amazing example of mothers in my life! Jeremy and I both have been so blessed with amazing mothers and grandmothers. The shoes are extremely big to fill!

And by God's grace alone I have been extremely blessed to be called mom to these four amazing kids! Oh, how I take this gift for granted.

After church we decided to head for some waterfall hikes in the area. Awhile back I compiled a list on my phone of different hikes & waterfalls in the area and we have slowly been checking them off as we can. Today we checked off 2 more!

We first drove to Riley Moore Falls and had a picnic lunch before hiking to the waterfall.

We love being outside in God's creation together. I love watching the kids explore and find creatures!

After that we drove up the road to Brasstown Falls and hiked to the waterfalls there. Carson and Jeremy brought their poles along and did some trout fishing. While there we got caught in a thunderstorm so we had an adventure hiking back to the van!

Motherhood and Identity

I was humbled when asked if I'd be willing to share something in leu of Mother's Day on the NACPF blog. The North American Church Planting Foundation is a church planting network that Crosspoint Church and Generation LINK partner with. We are thankful for like-minded brothers and sisters who are committed to advancing the gospel and planting churches.

If you're interested in reading my blog post regarding motherhood and identity you can do so here. I pray you'll be encouraged.

Happy Mother's Day to all your mommas out there! Hope you've had a blessed day!

My Mom

Oh how I love my momma! When I reflect on all the good gifts from the Lord in my life she ranks at the top of my list! We don't get to choose where or when or to whom we are born. So all I know to do is thank my Heavenly Father for allowing me to be born to this amazing woman I get to call Mom!

I love her tenderness. I love her thoughtfulness and care towards others. I love how she "gets me" and can so easily identify. I love how she loves my Dad! I love her ever-deepening love for our Savior! I love her love for her family. I love how she loves (and is loved by) her grandkids. I love her laughter. I love her gift to pursue people. I love her servants heart. I love her love of quality time and depth. I love her fun-loving side. I love her friendship!

I'm so humbled to call you Mom! Happy Mother's Day to one of the most amazing women I know!

Catching up on the Lately

A few weeks ago my sweet parents come in town for a visit and to help us with the kids while we were in a wedding. I love having them here! They are so easy and helpful and I soak up our visits together. Sadly, these are all the pictures I took while they were here. Dad is so helpful around the house doing projects! We are so thankful! And I love having mom in the kitchen with me. Sure makes cooking easier to have 2 cooks! I love you Mom & Dad! Thank you for coming!

We had a great time celebrating the marriage of Jesse & Rachel! We are so thankful for their friendship and could not be happier for them!
