Grandpa & Grammy's visit

I'm so thankful for my parents!  I'm so glad they make the time and effort to come down to visit us!  They arrived Thursday evening just in time to make it to the girls volleyball game.

On Friday we headed to Greenville for lunch and then headed to the children's museum.  Mom and I shared these yummy mussels!
I think Dad enjoyed the museum:)
He was impressed with Bryn's driving skills
I think Jeremy had some fun too:)
She would do great at a job that required her to talk all. day. long.
 receptionist....grocer....

We enjoyed watching the Tigers play on Saturday!

Sunday we went to church and had some down time.

And Monday we (poor Jeremy had to work) headed out to do some hiking and sightseeing.  It was a fun day!
We first headed to whitewater falls to see the waterfall.

 My loves

 my handsome 10 year old
sweet Lu
The leaves were just starting to turn....so beautiful!

After Whitewater Falls we headed north and hiked the Whiteside Mountain Trail in between Cashiers and Highlands.

Grammy reading the educational signs along the way

 beautiful views!
 funky smile stage!
I found a monkey along the trail
He found the perfect hiking stick
I love this girl and big smile and personality!

she notices the small details in things!  I love it and reminds me of myself as a kid.
I love the colors of Fall!

Oh how I pray they'll be friends for life!

After the hike we drove into Highlands for some strolling and food.  Then we headed to Dry Falls.  So neat how you can walk behind the waterfall.

I love you Mom & Dad!  Thank you for another wonderful visit!  We are so thankful for our time together!

Martha's Vineyard - Day 4

We decided to take a ferry over to Martha's Vineyard for a day while staying in Cape Cod.  We hit it hard to see as much as possible!

Views from the ferry

We ferried in to the town of Oak Bluffs and went straight to the Flying Horses (America's Oldest Carousel)

Then we walked around the little town area a little to see these cute little houses.

Then we hopped on the bus and headed for Edgartown.  My brother was a huge help in planning our day because he has been to Martha's Vineyard before and loves it.  He recommended The Seafood Shanty for lunch right on the water and it was really good!

We walked around the cute little town before heading to our next spot.

Then we hopped back on the bus and headed west to Aquinnah.  The lighthouse and the cliffs were so beautiful!

I had to take this picture below of this woman (I think from Japan) unashamedly taking pictures of my girls!

We then headed back east to Vineyard Haven before catching our ferry back to the Cape.
Some of us picked up some seafood to eat on the ferry at The Net Result.
We were all pooped after a full day!  Thankful I got to visit!
