Our favorite freshmen on Freshmen Move-In Day

We are thrilled that our nephew Kaleb is a freshman at Clemson!  Today we helped move him in to his dorm room.  Every year I feel a little sentimental on this day as I see parents moving in their son or daughter into their dorm room for the first time.  Makes me think back to when I was that freshmen too (although I'm doing much more identifying with the parents now).

It's such a big day!  So many emotions!  This year I was extra sentimental as I thought about my sister in law dropping off her firstborn at college!

Cars are packed
Waiting to meet them at his dorm
 They made it!
Our kids love their cousin Kaleb!

Everything went so smoothly moving him in.

Kaleb got to shake hands with President Clements.
Then we all got to eat free at Harcombe Dining Hall (sure is a lot different from when I was a student there).

These boys LOVED the ding hall:)

So thankful to have Kaleb in Clemson and so thankful we could be a part of this exciting day!

College Leadership Retreat

The College Leadership Retreat is always a highlight for us each year.  Rick & Betsy Freeman (a generous and fun couple from our church) host the retreat at their beautiful home on the lake.  This year they provided 3 boats for us all to play on the lake.  It was a great day!  Along with the fun are some meetings to reconnect, sharing about our summers, and planning for the following week as students return.

This leadership team is a great group!  Our family really like them and enjoy time with them.

Bryn loved getting time with the college girls!  I remember when Carson started branching off to hang with all the guys on his own.  Now Bryn is doing that too.  They are growing up and I love that they get to be around students like this!  Such a blessing!

Grayson's first time tubing!

We also enjoyed slaloming with Mr. Rick.
Check him out below.....seriously hope I can ski when I'm his age!  Impressive!  Thankful for our time with this group!  Praying for a great year for the college ministry at Crosspoint!  Exciting time of year!
