Clemson Friends Reunion 2014

With each passing year we become more and more grateful for these precious friends the Lord has blessed us with from our time at Clemson over 14 years ago.  We meet every year for an annual friends reunion and it's always a blessing to catch up and be with old friends!  We were in Cashiers, NC this year and the house was perfect for our group.

Generation Link Week - Myrtle Beach

We spent the week of May 16-23 in Myrtle Beach for the Generation Link staff (old and new) and Summer Link director week.  A change was made this year to hold this week earlier in the summer so that it would be on the front end of all the different summer link locations.  A large part of the week is the seminary class taught by a professor who comes down from Southeastern Seminary.  Some take the class for credit and some audit the class.  I heard great things about he class all week!  The topic was on discipleship.  I really enjoyed getting to know our new Glink staff for the upcoming year.  It's exciting to look towards a new year!
We stay at the interesting Sea Mist Resort in the heart of Myrtle Beach and it just so happened to be biker week and then black biker week so needless to say things were not dull nor quiet!  I was missing my serine back yard terribly!  But we did enjoy the beach and pools immensely!  Also, Abbey flew down to join us on Tuesday which was so fun to have here there!  Always refreshing to spend time with her!

Time with Papa & Nana

Breakfast at Papa & Nana's house

The kids and I left Hilton Head last Tuesday after a great time with the college leadership team.  Jeremy stayed for staff retreat through Friday.  On my way home Nana offered to help out with the kids while I was a single parent by taking the older 2 for the first 2 nights and then swapping them on Thursday for the younger 2 until Sunday.  It was such a blessing to only have 2 kids at a time while Jeremy was out of town.  And clearly the kids had a great time with their grandparents!
