American Girl

We had a great trip up to Washington D.C. with my family for the ceremony at Arlington Cemetery (post coming) to honor the life of Robert & Eleanor Misner (my Mom's parents, and my dear grandparents who died a year and 6 months ago).  While we were in D.C. my mom, aka Grammy, had a sweet treat for her 3 granddaughters.  She surprised each of them with their very own American Girl doll and then the 6 of us went to the store and had tea together.  The girls were so excited and loved every minute.  It was so cute and sweet to watch them and enjoy something very "girly" together.  Thank you Grammy!  These dolls will be well-loved!

Right after they got their dolls from Grammy

Soccer

We just finished up soccer season.  Carson and Bryn both played.  This was Bryn's first time playing an organized sport.  It was fun to learn more about her in this setting.  They both did good and enjoyed playing!  Here are a few pictures...

To chop it off or not...what's your vote?

I have a hair-loving friend who is trying to talk me into this hair cut below.  What's your opinion?  Should I keep longer hair or chop it off for a cut like this?  Leave a comment here, Twitter, Facebook...whatever.  I'm open to input;)

Carson's 8th Birthday

One of the best days of my life happened 8 years ago on September 26th, 2004 when Jeremy and I were blessed by this sweet baby boy!  Hard to believe it's been 8 years!  Carson has been such a joy to us.  I couldn't ask for a better first born child!  I adore him and love so many things about him!  He is fun, serious, smart, inquisitive, authentic, patient, a servant, and easy going.  I love seeing his love for the outdoors.  I love seeing him develop friendships.  I love watching him read and learn in school.  I love playing games with him (I am unashamedly trying to raise up game lovers!).  He is a gift from God!

He asked for pancakes for his birthday breakfast!  And his birthday request was to go to Monkey Joe's and then to have dinner at Red Lobster.  It was a fun family celebration!

And he got his crab legs for dinner!
Spencer is cracking us up lately with his cheesy smile when we pull out the camera...such a little ham!
