90 Years!

This past Saturday was my grandpa's 90th birthday and I am so glad that the kids and I were able to drive up to Virginia to celebrate this big day with him. He is so special to me and has been an amazing grandfather to me these past 30 years. I look up to him and admire him in so many ways! We love you Grandpa! It was also my cousin's (Blaine) birthday as well. Here are some pictures of the party.

College end of the year cook-out

This past Monday night we had all the different college small groups from our church over for an end of the year cook-out party. We have so enjoyed our home group this year; they have been such a blessing to us! We will miss all the graduating seniors. We are so excited that many of the students are joining us this summer in Hilton Head. Here are a some of the pictures from our cook-out.

The Big 3-0

Yep, I am officially 30 as of yesterday! It was a great day celebrating God's gift to me of these past 30 years. I enjoyed spending time with the Lord reflecting on all He has done in my life. God has lavished His love on me in the family he allowed me to be born into where there was love and protection (thank you mom and dad!), for good health througout the years, His provision of a godly husband, the blessing of children, His abundant provision in every way, great friends....yet all this is meaningless apart from Him! I am so thankful that He has revealed himself to me and allowed me to see my desparate need for Him and for saving me through the precious blood of Jesus Christ. So now as I reflect on the past 30 years and all the blessings He has bestowed upon me I know to worship Him because of it all! "Every good thing given and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shifting shadow." James 1:17
I am amazed at my sweet husband! Not sure how he pulled it off, but he surprised me with a great birthday party at a local restaurant. He told me we were going there as a family to celebrate my birthday but when we showed up the side room of the restaurant was filled with friends! What a gift from my hubby! Thank you to everyone who made my 30th birthday so special. It was a great day! And thank you Jeremy for loving me so well, you truly help me know the love of the Savior more clearly.
Jeremy and I at the party...how did he do it!?

Jeremy bought me a new camera! Yay!

My precious family....love them!

OH, and I'm not depressed at all about turning 30. My parents once told me it was one of the best decades they've had! I'm excited about the next 10 years....hey, 30 for that matter:)

25 weeks

Today I am 25 weeks in my pregnancy with baby #3 and things are going well. I am feeling good and enjoying this point of pregnancy before the real uncomfortable stage comes! I'm amazed at how fast this pregnancy is going, she is going to be here before we know it. We are still working on a name for our little one and we are starting to wonder what she will be like and how her life will change the dynamics of our family. We are so excited for this new addition! Please pray for a healthy and smooth pregnancy for the remainder of time and that God would prepare us to be parents to this little girl along with parenting Carson & Bryn.

Amy's Hip-Hop Party

Last night some of Amy's friends threw her a hip-hop surprise party in honor of Amy's birthday and in my assessment I think Amy was very "honored." It was fun to be silly with girls....I felt like I was in college again:)

Happy Birthday Amy & Jon

Jeremy's younger brother & sister are twins and their birthday was yesterday, April 13th. We got to celebrate with Amy for an early dinner at Texas Roadhouse. Happy Birthday Amy & Jon, we love you both very much!

Law Enforcement Day

Today was Law Enforcement Day in Clemson so the kids and I went to check it out and they had a ball. Here are some shots from our morning there.

Play date with friends

This Thursday we had a play date at the mall play area with some good friends. There were 3 moms and 7 kids! Cayce was there with her 4 kids and Ashley was in town visiting her family this week with her daughter. Both Cayce and Ashley are college friends of mine and it is always a joy to get time with them. We are learning though that our times together look much different now that kids are in the picture (especially kids this age). It's hard to finish conversations we start with all the sweet "little" interruptions:) We just didn't know to appreciate those years in college! But it is such a blessing to be in this season of life together with great friends!
